From September 1974 Baycrest Bulletin: “Here Dr. Sydney Wax, Chairman of the Heritage Committee examines a sterling silver 19th Century Megillah with Mrs. Fay Mendlesohn (far right) and her daughters, Mrs. Elaine Rafelman and Mrs. Carol Schipper. The Megillah is one of the treasures that have been purchased through the generosity of the Mendlesohn Family Fund.”

From April 1979 Baycrest News: “William Silver with a collection of tile plaques on which he works almost every day. With his new life at Baycrest he found a new area of interest – the arts and crafts program. It has become Mr. Silver’s personal program to provide, upon request, a special gift made in tile, reflecting the theme desired by the recipient. His only stipulation is that the recipient must make a donation to one of the causes in Israel. So much in demand is his work that Mr. Silver, who spends three hours a day in the arts and crafts program, is constantly busy in this activity he loves.”
