Emily Sitter
Arts in Health Coordinator
Emily received her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation and Psychology minor from Brock University. She is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, a Registered Professional of Therapeutic Recreation Ontario, a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, and a member of the National Organization of Arts in Health (NOAH). Emily is also an alumni graduate from the Ted Rogers School of Management, where she completed a Masters Program in Health Administration (Community Care). With over five years of project coordination and clinical experience in long-term care, community care, and post-acute care, Emily is motivated to further integrate arts-based modalities into healthcare to evoke self-expression, creativity, and community connection. She strives to integrate evidence-informed practice into service delivery to enhance social inclusion for older adults who encounter barriers to accessing quality, person-centered care.
