Arts in Health

By tapping into creative storytelling, expressive arts such as writing, painting, dancing, music, intergenerational projects and/or theatre, the Arts in Health Discipline at Baycrest develops and oversees programs to enable the voices of clients and reflect their lived experiences.

Participation within arts-based practices enhances feelings of confidence and self-esteem, enriches relationships, and strengthens therapeutic rapport for all clients across the aging spectrum. The Arts in Health program offers transformative opportunities that integrate the arts within healthcare and improve physical, social, and emotional health.
